The Vino (Italy-speak for wine, hence the color) is powered by a 49 cc air-cooled, two-stroke motor with reed valve induction that is oil-injected and supposed to deliver excellent gas mileage. A 17 mm carburetor and drum brakes at both ends don't exactly scream performance, but Yamaha claims, "strong, predictable power" will be at the beck and call of anybody who sits atop the wide, thickly padded saddle. The chassis is a step-through design made from a steel-tube frame that's suspended with almost two-inches of travel at either end. There's even 20-liters of underseat storage for a set of gym togs or, should you be more into the 12-ounce type of workout, a few cans of your favorite frosty beverage... or perhaps a bottle of vino? (MO does not promote riding while intoxicated! -- Ed.)
